No Akshay, No Ranveer; Salman Khan to host 'Bigg Boss 9'

First Ranveer Singh then Akshay Kumar, there were reports that superstar Salman Khan will not host the next season of celebrity reality show 'Bigg Boss'.

The rumour mill has been abuzz with reports that Ranveer Singh will host 'Bigg Boss 9' then there were reports that Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar may replace Salman Khan, as the host of 'Bigg Boss 9'. 

But, now the latest reports are that the next season of India's biggest reality show 'Bigg Boss' will be hosted by none other than Salman Khan.

The makers of 'Bigg Boss' held talks with Akshay and Ranveer to host the season nine of 'Bigg Boss' after Salman, who hosted most of the previous shows of 'Bigg Boss', denied hosting the next season of the reality show.

Salman took the decision after he got annoyed with the response he received from social networking sites where many people criticised the 'Dabangg' star for being unfair, partial and for showing favoritism towards a few celebrity participants in the house.

Salman was also not keen to host the eighth season of 'Bigg Boss', he also handed his resignation before the launch of Big Boss season 8.

However, the channel lured Salman back to show by doubling his salary from Rs 2-3 crore to Rs 5-7 crore per episode.

The new season is expected to start later this year. As the makers will start the show as per Salman's availability of dates.

Nothing has been disclosed about the contestants of 'Bigg Boss 9'.
